Baller Racing Inc. is a non-profit formed by a family whose 8-year-old son started racing in January 2024. He has grown so much due to the friends and coaches that have poured their knowledge into him while having his own desire and drive to learn a different amateur sport outside of the only one he has known since he was four, baseball. As we learned more about this incredible world of motocross, we learned first and foremost it was expensive to do it right and to ensure the safety of our son.  We were blessed that his Grandpa Mike bought him his dirt bike but not all kids have a Grandpa Mike.  As we moved through the next few months, we relied heavily on the feedback of others on how to navigate riding and the thought of competition.  My 8-year-old is extremely competitive, and we knew this was not just going to be a dirt bike ride on our property!  Some feedback was good feedback, and some was not.  I was the parent wishing there was a handbook or tutorial for getting started!  What we continued to learn is there was not just an initial start-up investment like most sport but there is an ongoing financial investment.  So many kids that our son was friends with didn't even know about this world.  Didn't even know it was a thing until we exposed them but once they learned the expense could not even consider it.  We would come across kids at the track with gear that probably had lived its life but here they are racing in it.  Our son started saying that the kids could use his gear at the track, or his baseball buddies could ride around on his bike to see if they like it.  Well, after hearing him continue to say this we knew there has to be someone to take this leap and after much prayer we knew we have to figure out another avenue for kids to obtain the gear needed to keep them safe and to provide access.  After many months of planning and continued praying Baller Racing Inc came to life.  Amazing what can happen all because of a kindhearted, competitive, 8-year-old boy.
